Zombie Burrito: The Game That’s Nothing Like Zombie Extermination (But Gives Us Great Ideas Anyway)

Alright, let me be clear—Zombie Burrito is NOTHING like real zombie extermination.

  • There’s no blood (unless Jonah gets too competitive).
  • There’s no real risk of death (unless JJ throws a burrito at your head with bad intentions).
  • And unfortunately, no actual flamethrowers are involved.

But despite these serious shortcomings, this game is an absolute blast—and, strangely enough, gives us plenty of new ideas on how to take out the undead.

What the Heck is Zombie Burrito?

Zombie Burrito is basically dodgeball meets chaos meets food fights—except instead of dodging zombies, you’re dodging burritos and trying not to get KO’d by a flying tortilla.

The game is fast, wild, and slightly dangerous (which, obviously, is why we love it). The goal? Survive, attack, and, if necessary, sacrifice anyone to win. (Okay, that last part isn’t in the official rules, but it’s strongly implied.)

What This Game Taught Us About Fighting Real Zombies

Speed Matters – If you can’t dodge a burrito, you sure as hell can’t dodge a zombie. Train your reflexes now, or start writing your own obituary.

Accuracy Counts – JJ has deadly aim in this game. Me? Not so much. If we ever run out of ammo, I’m making sure JJ’s got the throwing knives. Jonah? He can stick to reading survival books.

Creative Weapons Are Key – This game got us thinking… if a burrito can take someone out, what ELSE can we throw at zombies?

  • Canned beans? Heavy enough to do damage.
  • Frozen fish? Gross, but effective.
  • Larry? I mean… in an emergency, we gotta do what we gotta do.

Other Important Uses for This Game

  • Cardio TrainingYou ever had Jonah chase you with a burrito? No? You’d run FAST too.
  • Therapy – Need to work out some apocalypse stress? Throwing a burrito at someone’s face is surprisingly therapeutic.
  • Settling Arguments – The last time JJ and I fought over who got the last energy drink, we solved it with a burrito battle. (She won. Obviously.)
